Parent-Teacher Conference sheets were sent home with the students on September 10th. Please return them as soon as possible in order to receive a scheduled time. Conferences will be held on September 24th, 25th & 27th. All openings on the 24th & 25th have been filled. Please contact us to schedule a conference for the 27th if needed.
ALGEBRA
In Class: Took the chapter 2 quiz and handed in the assignments.
Assignment: Read section 2-5 and do exercises 1-15, on page 96.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed evaluating expressions, handed in assignments, and took the quiz.
Assignment: Begin thinking about multiplication of integers.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students took their spelling and definition quiz for the root "port."
In Class: Students self-evaluated their adjective packets and gave themselves an effort grade on the concepts they learned. Pronoun packets were handed out and students highlighted important concepts about this part of speech.
Assignment: Remember to read your AR books over the weekend!
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: We discussed the British use of mercenaries during the Revolutionary War.
Experience at Home: Complete the Learning Opportunity worksheet concerning Chapter 7, Section 4 or be prepared for a Six Question quiz.
SCIENCE
In Class: We reviewed for the assessment and took the test on the Scientific Method. Review sheets and practice assessments were handed in. Get yours in and take the test. Journals were picked up for a grade. Hand yours in.
Assignment: Take the assessment soon!!
Journal: We logged the moon info.
