Parent-Teacher Conference sheets were sent home with the students today. Please return them as soon as possible.
ALGEBRA
In Class: Introduced addition of real numbers. Filled out planners for the week and handed back and recorded test and packet grades.
Assignment: Complete page 75 exercises 12-42 even, 43-50.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Returned and recorded quiz grades. Introduced subtraction of integers and worked on assignments and filled out the planner for the week.
Assignment: Complete pages 1-4.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Journal--Students wrote down their spelling words for the week. The quiz deals with the root "port." This quiz will be on Friday.
In Class: Students finished working on the verb/preposition worksheet today. This is due on Wednesday. Students will take the SRI test tomorrow in the computer lab.
Assignment: Verb/preposition worksheet is due on Wednesday. Spelling quiz is due on Friday. Remember to read your AR books!
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: We discussed the Olive Branch Petition and the Pamphlet Common Sense.
Experience at Home: Complete the Learning Opportunity worksheet for Chapter 6, Sections 5 and 6 or be prepared for the Six Question quiz.
SCIENCE
In Class: Parent Moon Watch letters were picked up. Get yours in before Wed. We started the moon watch instructions. Look over the attached sheets. The moon watch starts on Tuesday night. We reviewed observation and inference differences.
Assignment: Find a good viewing spot for the moon watch. Bring back parent letters.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. Do the questions on the attached sheet to review observation and inference.
