Parent-Teacher Conference sheets were sent home with the students on September 10th. Please return them as soon as possible in order to receive a scheduled time. Conferences will be held on September 24th, 25th & 27th. All openings on the 24th, 25th and the afternoon of the 27th have been filled. Please contact us to schedule a conference for the morning of the 27th if needed.
ALGEBRA
In Class: Introduced simplifying and evaluating expressions.
Assignment: On page 96 (16-56 even, 58-63)
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed the multiplication of integers with two or more factors.
Assignment: Complete worksheet A-21 and 1-16 on page A-25.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students wrote down week two spelling words with the root of "cert."
In Class: Students reviewed pronoun packets that we highlighted on Friday. We discussed personal, reflexive, and possessive pronouns and worked in partners on pronoun packets.
Assignment: Pronoun packet is due tomorrow. Remember to read your AR books over the weekend!
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: We discussed the Battle Trenton.
Experience at Home: Complete the Learning Opportunity worksheet concerning Chapter 7, Section 5 or be prepared for a Six Question quiz.
SCIENCE
In Class: The moon was logged for the weekend. Get your log caught up from Mrs. Hanson or your partner. We put together portfolios of graded work. You have work on the side counter to put in your folder. We went over the assessments for the Scientific Method. Schedule a retake time if needed. Review sheets were handed back. You will need those to study. New lab partners were given. Look at the seating chart in the front to see where you sit.
Assignment: Moon logging.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. Get a folder ready for the portfolio box. Get your moon watch logs stamped if you need to.
