Parent-Teacher Conference sheets were sent home with the students on September 10th. Please return them as soon as possible in order to receive a scheduled time. Conferences will be held on September 24th, 25th & 27th. All openings on the 24th, 25th and the afternoon of the 27th have been filled. Please contact us to schedule a conference for the morning of the 27th if needed.
ALGEBRA
In Class: Introduced simplifying expressions using the distributive property.
Assignment: On page 103 (19-43)
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed sum, difference, product, and quotient and introduced order of operations.
Assignment: Complete worksheets A-26 and 17-30 on page A-25.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students handed in journals 1-10 for a grade today. Make sure you show these to Mrs. Micek if you are gone. Grade sheets were also handed out.
In Class: Students reviewed pronoun packets that we did on Monday. We discussed relative, interrogative, demonstrative, and indefinite pronouns and worked in partners on pronoun packets.
Assignment: Pronoun packet 2 is due tomorrow. Remember to read your AR books over the weekend! Grade sheets need to be signed and returned for a homework grade.
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: We completed the classification sheet regarding Chapter 7, Section 6.
Experience at Home: Complete the Learning Opportunity worksheet concerning Chapter 7, Section 6 or be prepared for a Six Question quiz.
SCIENCE
In Class: We discussed the moon, the earth, and the sun. We did the "Down on the Moon" activity. I attached a sheet for you to fill out. See Mrs. Hanson for your group and directions.
Assignment: Moon logging.
Journal: See attached sheet. Answer the questions into your journal.
