Parent-Teacher Conference sheets were sent home with the students on September 10th. Please return them as soon as possible in order to receive a scheduled time. Conferences will be held on September 24th, 25th & 27.
ALGEBRA
In Class: Introduced sums and differences of matrices.
Assignment: Complete page 89, exercises 1-6, 8-20 even, 29-30.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Introduced subtraction of integers as adding the opposite.
Assignment: Complete pages 5-6.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students did journal number nine, which consisted of answering preposition
questions on a worksheet. These will be used on the final test on parts of speech.
In Class: Students discussed and reviewed adjectives today. The adjective packet will be due on Thursday.
Assignment: Adjective packet is due on Thursday. Spelling quiz is due on Friday. Remember to read your AR books!
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: We began work on the Reading Notes for Chapter 6.
Experience at Home: The completed Reading Notes are due in class on Thursday. A Six Question quiz will not be available as a replacement grade.
SCIENCE
In Class: We logged the moon for last night in the green log sheets. Ask your partner for the information. We finished all running of the "Don't Burst Your Bubble" experiments. All final copies, rough drafts, and conclusion paragraphs were worked on. All sheets are due on Thursday at the beginning of class. All parent moon watch letters were turned in.
Assignment: All bubble gum experiments are due on Thursday.
Journal: We logged the moon info.
