Pre Algebra
In Class: Organized assignments and handed them.
Assignment: Made corrections in the packet before handing it in today.

ALGEBRA
In class: Reviewed solving multiple-step inequalities.
Assignment: Make corrections on the assignment.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: None.
In Class: Students organized projects for A Christmas Carol and finished any late homework. Students handed in ACC study packets.
Assignment: All banquet food needs to be brought in on Friday morning. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter. All points are due on Friday.

The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: We completed the self evaluation of the Big Kahuna II.
Experience at Home: We have no homework tonight.

SCIENCE
In Class: Quiz taken today on the periodic table, parts of the atom and element symbols. Get it taken right away. All make up work is due in by Friday.

In Class: Reviewed square roots by listing the square of the numbers 1-20, and used
our notes to estimate square roots of irrational numbers. Introduced finding the square
root of irrational numbers and round to the nearest tenth.
Assignment: Complete the Page 261 1-42.

ALGEBRA
In class : Introduced solving and graphing multiple step inequalities.
Assignment: Page 343, 15-35 odd, 36-39, 43-48.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students handed in projects for A Christmas Carol.
In Class: Students typed final drafts of theme assignments. Students also worked on ACC study packets; these are due on Thursday.
Assignment: Students need to turn in projects on Wednesday. These are to be done outside of class. All banquet food needs to be brought in on Friday morning. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter. All points are due on Friday.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students reviewed for Stave 4-5 quiz.
In Class: Students used different revision techniques to revise theme writing assignment. The final copies will be a test grade! Students also worked on ACC study packets; these are due on Thursday
Assignment: The rough draft is due tomorrow! Students need to turn in projects on Wednesday. These are to be done outside of class. All banquet food needs to be brought in on Friday morning. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter.

The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: We reviewed Big Kahuna I in preparation for Big Kahauna II.
Experience at Home: Practice with your flash cards.

SCIENCE
In Class: Element brochures were finished and printed in color today. This is the last day in class to work on them. If you need time to finish you can come in and work in the morning or after school. You must finish this project.

Assignment: Study for the equation assessment. If you did not hand in the packet today, be sure to finish making corrections including the check.

In class : Organized the assignment to be handed in on Monday.
Assignment: Study for the chapter 5 test. Make corrections in the packet.

Bell Work: Students discussed graphic organizer and wrote topic sentences for paragraphs.
In Class: Students watched Staves 4-5 of A Christmas Carol today.
Assignment: The rough draft is due tomorrow! Students may begin working on their Christmas Carol projects. These are to be done outside of class. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter.

Bell Work: Students reviewed Stave 2-3 vocab words.
In Class: Students took Stave 2-3 quiz today. They also handed in Journals 21-30 and Stave 3 packet for grades. We did the vocab for Staves 4-5.
Assignment: Students need to finish Stave 4-5 vocab! Students may begin working on their Christmas Carol projects. These are to be done outside of class. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter.

In class : Introduced point-slope form of an equation, completed the note.

Assignment: Complete page 303, exercises 18-26 even, 30-34, 39-41, 57-59.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: None.
In Class: Students watched Stave 3 on DVD today.
Assignment: Students will have a Stave 2-3 quiz tomorrow and hand in Stave 3 study packets! Students may begin working on their Christmas Carol projects. These are to be done outside of class. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter.

Experienced at School: We analyzed the poem Eldorado as it relates to the concept of Manifest Destiny.

ALGEBRA Reviewed the best fitting line, and started completing a Chapter 5 expectations sheet.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students wrote a journal with specific themes for A Christmas Carol. You must get this from Mrs. Micek if you were absent.
In Class: Students listened to the rest of Stave 3, A Christmas Carol, and worked on study packet questions. They also did a Point of View worksheet
Assignment: Students will have a Stave 2-3 quiz tomorrow! Bring signed grade sheets back!! Students may begin working on their Christmas Carol projects. These are to be done outside of class. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter.

Experienced at School: Our students began work on the Learning Opportunity worksheet for Chapter 16, sections 8 & 9.

Bell Work: Students wrote a journal comparing the movie and the book for Stave 2 of A Christmas Carol.
In Class: Students handed in Stave 2 study packets. Students listened to Stave 3 of A Christmas Carol and worked on study packet questions.
Assignment: Bring signed grade sheets back!! Students may begin working on their Christmas Carol projects. These are to be done outside of class. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter.

Bell Work: Students wrote a journal using compound sentences to note differences
and similarities they noticed between the movie and book of ACC Stave 1.
In Class: Students discussed point sheets for projects. Projects are due on December 19. We also did our vocabulary for Staves 2-3 and started listening to Stave 2 on CD.
Assignment: Students may begin working on their Christmas Carol projects. These are to be done outside of class. Read your AR books for 2nd quarter.

ALGEBRA
In Class: Parallel lines have the same Slope.
Perpendicular lines have slopes that are negative reciprocals or the or the opposite sign and the reciprocal.
If Slope equals M equals 2/3 perpendicular line has slope m equals --3/2

If slope equals m equals --3 equals -3/1 m equals 1/3

Students were taught how to write and equation for a line given two points. Although students will need tow points to get the slope only one of the points is need for y -- intercept.

Y equals mx plus b
M equals slope b equals y --intercept

Assignment p 288 -289
18---26 even, 36-38, 45-47

PRE-ALGEBRA Students will complete WS 6-1 tonight which involves solving equations in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We worked the examples using four steps 1. Copy the equation
2. Show the step using the opposite operation
3. Solve or simplify to get the answer
4. Check by substituting the answer for the variable

Assignment: Finish WS 6-1 Tuesday review for quiz P 291 Quiz






ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students discussed external and internal conflicts and also the four conflict types.
In Class: Students worked on a conflict worksheet in class. Stave 1 study packet was handed in for a grade. We watched George Scott's version of Stave 1 on DVD.
