Pre Algebra
In Class: Took the Orleans Hanna Algebra Prognosis test.
Assignment: Finish the Ratio Proportion worksheet BB-32. Write a proportion for each story problem, use cross products and solve for the answer.
ALGEBRA
In class: Returned and recorded the chapter 6 test. Introduced linear systems of equations and practiced solving using graphing.
Assignment: On page 401-402 complete exercises 12-26 even, 35-36.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students partner reviewed for spelling quiz.
In Class: Students were introduced to compound-complex sentence formulas today. We practiced them on the overhead. Students did a writing needs assessment, took a paragraph quiz, and began to fill out a self-evaluation using their final drafts of sample writing assessments.
Assignment: Students should be reading AR books for 3rd quarter points and categories. Spelling 3 will quiz will be Friday. State writing assessment is January 29-30!!
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: The students worked on the Learning Opportunity worksheet for Chapter 20, sections 8 through11.
Experience at Home: Complete the Learning Opportunity worksheet for Chapter 20, sections 8 through 11 or be prepared for a Six Question quiz regarding the same information.
SCIENCE
In Class: Chemical Reaction lab done today. Get a lab sheet from Mrs. Hanson and schedule a time to come in.
Assignment: Lab work
Journal: Identify these as physical or chemical change. Sawdust, Silver Melting, Photosynthesis, Vinegar in baking soda, Breaking a glass. Explain why?
