Pre Algebra
In Class: Handed in assignments, if you were absent be sure to hand these in today.
Continued using proportions to solve percent problems. Completed Reteaching 7-3 in
class as notes and worked on the assignment the last 20 minutes of class
Assignment: Complete worksheet Practice 7-3, show the proportion, cross-product and give the answer to the nearest tenth.
ALGEBRA
In class: Introduced solving systems of inequalities.
Assignment: Complete page 435, exercises 1-2, 9-17.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students read in their AR books as a warm-up today.
In Class: Students received grade sheets. These need to be turned in for a grade. They also looked at their sentence formulas test. We are starting a unit on short stories. The elements of a short story outline needs to be filled out using the literature book (p.145-148).
Assignment: GRADE SHEETS MUST BE SIGNED AND RETURNED FOR A GRADE!! Students should be reading AR books for 3rd quarter points and categories. Spelling 5 will quiz will be Friday.
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: The students received the Life in the Army packet and completed the classification sheet.
Experience at Home: Bring the Life in the Army packet and the completed classification sheet to class Thursday.
SCIENCE
In Class: We finished going over the Astronomy terms from Friday. Hand yours back in with the Friday journal entry. We started the discussion on Geology and geologic sites we have seen. Pick up a lab sheet to get started on today’s rock/mineral lab.
Assignment: Constellation to look at for the month. Any assessment retakes should be taken care of.
