Pre Algebra
In Class: Filled out the planner for the week, completed a geometry pretest, returned and recorded dimensional analysis assignments, took notes on vocabulary, and worked on the assignment.
Assignment: Page 381 exercises 1-11, 13-15.
ALGEBRA
In class: Returned and recorded the assessment review and Assessment 12.1.1. Filled out the planner for the week and introduced square roots.
Assignment: Complete page 507-508 every third exercise beginning with 23 and ending with 77, then complete 79.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students discussed AR expectations for 4th quarter today.
In Class: Students discussed note-taking strategies and read a nonfiction article entitled “Background” and did a web graphic organizer for it. Get nonfiction booklet from Mrs. Micek. Students are to read “Franks Suffer Persecution in Germany” and do web graphic organizer for Thursday.
Assignment: “Franks Suffer” web due on Thursday. Read your AR books for 4th quarter.
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: The students began work on the Learning Opportunity worksheet for Chapter 1, sections 5 through 8.
Experience at Home: Students should have the Learning Opportunity worksheet for Chapter 1, sections 5 through 8 or be prepared for a Six Question quiz.
SCIENCE
In Class: We used our colored pictures to do a Plate Tectonics activity. We used a partner with the same picture and made a Pangea and a New World. Ask Mrs. Hanson for your partner.
Assignment: Finish your puzzle activity.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. Cut your colored picture into 12 puzzle pieces.
YOU HAVE TWO DAYS FOR EACH DAY YOU ARE ABSENT TO TURN IN YOUR MAKE-UP WORK.
