Pre Algebra
In Class: Finished organizing assignments to be handed in on Tuesday. Reviewed perimeter and area of parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids in preparation for the assessment tomorrow.
Assignment: Make corrections on the area and perimeter review worksheet and in your packet. Study for the assessment. Be sure you know the area formulas.
ALGEBRA
In class: Introduced multiplying polynomials using the distributive property and the FOIL or face method of multiplying binomials.
Assignment: Page 587-588 exercises 19-47 odd, 52-53.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students looked at pictures of Anne Frank and the secret annex!!
In Class: Students discussed scenes 1-3 questions and took a quiz over these scenes. We began watching the video today.
Assignment: Anne Frank questions due Monday. Read your AR books to acquire fourth quarter points.
The HISTORY Experience
Experienced at School: The students began work on the Learning Opportunity worksheet regarding Chapter 26.4.
Experience at Home: Be ready for a Six Question quiz concerning the information from Chapter 26.4 or have the Learning Opportunity worksheet complete.
SCIENCE
In Class: Assessments were handed back. Ask to see yours. We cleaned out science folders and filled out portfolio folder. New lab partners were given. We read an article on critical thinking and the development of the brain from our “Science World” magazines.
Assignment: Finish all make up work. Clean out your folder.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week.
