ALGEBRA
In Class: Filled out the planner for the week. Handed in assignments and used the overhead to review for the quiz. Students took the quiz during class and handed it in.
Assignment: Read pages 24-26 and complete exercises 1-13 on page 27.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Planners were filled out for the week. Assignments were handed in today. Worked in groups on a review worksheet over median, mode, range, and stem and leaf plots to prepare for Monday’s quiz.
Assignment. Bring your pre-algebra book to class on Tuesday and Wednesday.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students defined noun types in their journals.
In Class: Students discussed and reviewed collective, compound, common, and proper nouns in class.
Assignment: Noun worksheet is due Tuesday! Students should be reading AR books for 1st quarter.
HISTORY
In class: Students: Discussed the closing of the Olympics. Described the various social classes of colonial society. Explained how and why African slaves were brought to the Americas.
Assignment: Chapter 4 vocabulary words- 6 total. Students need word, definition, picture and sentence.
SCIENCE
In Class: Life Cycle of the stars terms were defined using the computer.
Assignment: Get out and look for the Constellation of the Month. Get your terms looked up. They are listed in your notes part of your journal.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. Start a list of ten things you know about the sun.
