In Class: Introduce understanding exponents and evaluating expressions using exponents. The formulas for area and volume were reviewed.

In Class: Reviewed mean, median, mode and range and answered questions from page 22 Use your notes to show your work and find the answers to these four.
Assignment: Cover your pre-algebra book with a paper cover if your book is not covered. Find the mean, median, mode and range and show your work. Calculators may be used to calculate your answers.
Complete Practice worksheet 1-4, please show your work on your own paper.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students finished writing events in their journals and read in their AR books.
In Class: We discussed late work policy. Students received guidelines for Life Map Assignment. They worked on their rough drafts in class.
Assignment: Signed reading contracts are due by Wednesday. Life Map rough drafts due tomorrow.
HISTORY
In class: Students read sections 4.2 – 4.3 in the textbook. We discussed and described life on colonial farms and cities.
Assignment: Sketch of a colonial city (due tomorrow)
SCIENCE
In Class: Constellation of the month stories were read and we worked on the questions on the worksheet handed out on Monday.
Assignment: Get your parent letter signed. Get out and look for the Constellation of the Month. Worksheet needs to be filled in.
