ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed formulas, exponents and evaluating expressions using exponents.
Assignment: Cover your algebra book with a paper cover if your book is not covered, then complete pages 12-13 (11-16, 47-66).
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed median, mode and range and introduced sem and leaf plots.
Assignment: Cover your pre-algebra book with a paper cover if your book is not covered. Your assignment is on pages 25-26, complete 1-4, 6, 8-10.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students wrote a journal defining and explaining the trait of Organization.
In Class: Students choose an event to write about and prewriting for the narrative essay was assigned. They worked on their life maps in class.
Assignment: Prewriting for narrative essay is due tomorrow! Life Maps are due tomorrow.
HISTORY
In class: Students read and discussed 4.4 – 4.5 in the textbook. Students compared crime and punishment from colonial times to today.
Assignment: Cover book & finish colonial city sketch (if not previously completed)
SCIENCE
In Class: Constellation of the month stories were finished and the questions handed in. Get yours turned in. We started work on the HR Diagram for stars. Pick one up from Mrs. Hanson.
Assignment: Get your parent letter signed. Get out and look for the Constellation of the Month. Hand in your constellation worksheet.
