Assignment: Review and study for the chapter 1 test.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Filled out the planner for the week, reviewed absolute value and evaluating expressions.
Assignment. Complete page 71 exercises 7-31. Be sure to show your work, copy the expression, show the substitution, and get the answer.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students went over procedures for SRI.
In Class: Students took SRI in computer lab. You MUST see Mrs. Micek ASAP to make this up. Students turned in verb worksheet.
Assignment: Read pp. 332, 334-336 in Grammar book. Students should be reading AR books for 1st quarter.
HISTORY
In class: Handed back and discussed chapter 4 tests. Started to create flashcards.
Assignment: Chapter 5 Vocabulary flashcards. Nine words total (7 from ch.5 and 2 words from ch.4)
SCIENCE
In Class: We went over papers handed back and filled out our grade sheet. You will need to fill out your sheet with Mrs. Hanson. The first days of logging the moon information was done today. Get your log caught up. We talked about the earth, moon, and sun comparisons and differences. We started the “Down on the Moon” activity.
Assignment: Moon Watch begins Aug. 31st. Fill out your grade sheet.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. Make a list of three differences and three similarities for the sun, earth, and moon.
