ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed solving two step equations using dry eraser boards. Be sure to show your steps separately, solve, then check your solution mentally.
Assignment: On page 148 do exercises 11-27 odd.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed order of operations and evaluating expressions using the dry eraser boards in preparation for the two assessments that will be given on Wednesday. Organized assignments to be handed in Wednesday.
Assignment. Go back over your packet and make corrections. Be sure to show your work and be ready to hand it in on Wednesday.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students did Journal 11 over compound sentences.
In Class: Students have an extra credit opportunity on POS test. Students reviewed comma rules. Students discussed adjective and introductory material comma rules.
Assignment: Partner activity in class. Students should be reading AR books for 1st quarter. End of the quarter is October 17.
HISTORY
In class Discussion of Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense”… round 2. We also started our discussion on the Declaration of Independence. Students were given back their “Common Sense” pamphlet covers to rework or fix to receive full credit.
Assignment: Opportunity to rework “Common Sense” pamphlet cover.
SCIENCE
In Class: Observation and Inference pictures were done and put into the journal. We started variable review and worked in the packets.
Assignment: Do variable exercises 1-5 for classes 2.3.& 4. 8th did not get far enough.
