ALGEBRA
In Class: Introduced simplifying expressions using multiplication and powers.
Assignment: Complete Page 96 (16-56 even, 58-63).
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed addition of integers, then changed subtraction of integers to addition, by adding the opposite.
Assignment. Complete pages 7-8 on the subtraction of integers. For subtraction of integers add the opposite.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students reviewed for helping verb game in partner groups.
In Class: Students took a helping verb quiz. Students worked in partner groups to complete a verb parts worksheet and troublesome verbs presentation poster. We handed in p. 534 ex. 31, 32, 33, 35.
Assignment: Students need to finish verb sheet and presentation poster. Parts of speech test Friday. Students should be reading AR books for 1st quarter.
HISTORY
In class: Students took notes over the French Indian War. They worked on a worksheet with analogies involving their vocab.
Assignment: Finish any homework that they may have and hand them into Mr. Howard ASAP.
SCIENCE
In Class: We logged the moon for today. Predictions were done for one more night. We worked on journal questions and finished the moon outline notes.
Assignment: Moon Watch begins Aug. 31st. New constellation to look at. Get your sky sheet caught up and your logs. Make your predictions. Get the notes you missed.
