ALGEBRA
In Class: Filled out the planner for the week, and answered questions over unit rates and reviewed percents. Used the rest of the class period to work on the chapter review.
Assignment: On page 190-192 complete exercises 1-34.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Filled out the planner for the week, returned and recorded the assignment packet and assessment grades on page 19 of the planner. Scientific notation was introduced and we used dry eraser boards to practice before working on the assignment.
Assignment. Make arrangements to retake assessments if you were did not get a proficient score this week. Complete worksheet pages 1 and 2 over scientific notation.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students did a Daily Language Practice. You need to get this from Mrs. Micek.
In Class: Students took notes on descriptive essays. We are working on group 6 Traits presentations. These will be on Thursday.
Assignment: Work on 6 Traits presentations. Students should be reading AR books for 1st quarter. End of the quarter is October 17.
HISTORY
In class: Students read p. 96, 97, 100 in the textbook. We then discussed the fighting in the South during the Revolutionary War, the battle of Yorktown and the Treaty of Paris.
Assignment: Complete chapter 7 notes packet. ***TEST ON THURSDAY***
SCIENCE
In Class: We started brainstorming on our experiments we are going to write with our partners. All steps of the Scientific Method need to be used. We are working with chewing gum.
Assignment: Step #1 of the experiment should be written.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. See attached sheet.
