ALGEBRA
In Class: Handed in assignments to be and took the chapter 3 quiz.
Assignment: Read pages 166-168, then do exercises 1-13 on page 169.
PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Reviewed graphing linear equations. Reviewed the multiplication of decimals.
Assignment. On pages 174-175 do exercises 3-13, 17-19 . Show your work for 3-10 on your own paper and 11-13, 17-19 on the graphs handed out in class.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students handed in grade sheets and reviewed hyphen rules.
In Class: Students did a hyphen practice assignment on the projector. We discussed apostrophe rules.
Assignment: Possessive noun worksheet due tomorrow. Grade sheets must be signed and returned for a grade. Students should be reading AR books for 1st quarter. End of the quarter is October 17.
HISTORY
In class Discussed how the British almost defeated the Americans at the start of the Revolutionary War (Battle of New York). Also, we learned about the role of African Americans during the war and how Washington layed the smack down on the Brits. at Trenton.
Assignment: Chapter 7 vocabulary: word, definition, picture, sentence. Tomorrow- British Accent Day
SCIENCE
In Class: We reviewed the steps of the Scientific Method. We practiced writing out the first three steps using a paper towel absorbency experiment. Your partner started the sheet.
Assignment: Get caught up on the writing of the steps.
