Wed. - Oct. 8th

ALGEBRA
In Class: Returned and recorded the Chapter 3 quiz and reviewed solving equations with decimals.
Assignment: On page 169 – 170 complete exercises 15-35 odd, 40-47.

PRE-ALGEBRA
In Class: Practiced graphing linear equations, and graphing points on a coordinate axis.
Assignment. Complete the dot-to-dot worksheet and the graphing review worksheet. There will be two assessments on Friday.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students played a possessive noun game on projector.
In Class: Students reviewed for the punctuation test tomorrow. They worked on the review sheet
Assignment: Punctuation test tomorrow—do review sheet. Grade sheets must be signed and returned for a grade. Students should be reading AR books for 1st quarter. End of the quarter is October 17.

HISTORY
In class Discussion/video Muskets v. Riffles, military strategy and the turning point of the Revolutionary War.
Assignment: Finish chapter 7 vocabulary: word, definition, picture, sentence.


SCIENCE
In Class: Step 4 “Experimental Design” was written out today for the paper towel absorbency lab. We demonstrated several ways to test the paper towels. Lab contracts were handed out. We started the antacid lab experiment write up. We will be working in the lab tomorrow.
Assignment: Get caught up on the writing of the steps. Read through the lab contract.
Journal: We worked on the fourth step for the paper towels.
