In Class: Reviewed the circumference and area of a circle, and introduced calculating the diameter and radius given the circumference. Get the notes if you were absent.
Assignment: Complete page 419 exercises 10-24, on 16-24 find the circumference and area for each exercise. Be sure to show your work, use pi as 3.14. Be sure to give the formula, substitution and answer rounded to the nearest hundredth for each problem. You will need your math book on Friday.

In Class: We took a six question quiz over the plate boundaries and their features. We watched the Bill Nye video on plates and parts of the earth.

Pre Algebra
In Class: Used the dry eraser boards to review the polygon vocabulary. Finished organizing assignments to be handed in on Friday before the quiz.
Assignment: Make corrections in the packet for polygons and perimeter.
ALGEBRA
In class: Returned and recorded the quiz grades for chapter 9 sections 1-3. Introduced the quadratic formula and used it to solve quadratic equations.
Assignment: Study section 9.5 and complete exercises 33-61 odd..
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students wrote a journal over Anne and Otto Frank using compound and simple sentences.
In Class: Students were handed back papers. We finished watching the video “If You Cried, You Died.” We worked on an Elements of Drama worksheet in class.
Assignment: Read your AR books for 4th quarter.

Experience at Home: Be prepared for the Six Questions quiz regarding the information from Chapter 25, sections 1 and 2.

In Class: We did the Constellation of the Month today. Sheets are attached. We went over the lab sheets from yesterday and handed those in. We finished the plate boundary pictures on the pink sheets. Plate webs and boundary sheets were handed in.
Assignment: Get all labs and written work turned in that was picked up. Get out and look at the sky.
Journal: See attached sheet.

In class: Organized assignments to be handed in on Wednesday. Reviewed simplifying radicals, solving equations, and graphing quadratic formulas using the dry eraser board.
Assignment: Make corrections on the assignments and study for the quiz.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students did a “Book Look” with several Holocaust books today.
In Class: Students finished and graded the outline on “Franks Go into Hiding.” Students started character webs for “Who are the People” article. There will be a quiz over these two articles tomorrow. Students are to read “Who are the People.”
Assignment: “Franks” and “Who” quiz Wednesday. Read your AR books for 4th quarter.

A six question quiz was taken to check for understanding of the “Find It” map and its’ features. We started labeling the names of the boundaries between the plates. There is a pink sheet on the side counter for you to pick up.
Assignment: Do the reading in the book. (pgs. 284-288) Finish the web on the theories.
