ALGEBRA
In class: Goal: Solve system of equations using substitution.
Assignment: Complete page 408 exercises 14-16, 17-27 odd, 42.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Goal: To do well on the Orleans-Hanna Algebra Prognosis test.
Assignment: Assignments were handed in today and the assessment was taken, if you were absent make arrangements to take the assessment, and hand in your assignments, show Mrs. West your planner.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students found literary elements in their AR books and finished word choice packets.
In Class: Students took notes over improving descriptive writing, and we collected word choice packet.
Assignment: State writing assessment is February 3rd and 4th! Students should be reading AR books for 3rd term points.
The HISTORY Experience
Experience at School: Students discussed Martin Luther King Day and the civil rights movement. We also analyzed the song “Pride: In the Name of Love” by U2.
SCIENCE
In Class: We handed back element symbols’ quizzes and went over them with the students. With remaining time, students worked on their brochure tour. Students should be able to finish the tour by the end of class tomorrow.
Assignment: Get all make up work done and in!! Get out and look at the constellation of the month.
