Tuesday - Jan. 13th

ALGEBRA
In class: Goal: Prepare for studying for the Chapter 6 test.
Assignment: Organize assignments to be handed in on Wednesday, study for the chapter 6 test, make corrections in the packet.

Pre Algebra
In Class: Goal: Write a proportion to solve story problems.
Assignment: Story Problem worksheet BB-32. Show your work on the back or on a separate sheet of paper. Begin by writing the proportion, use cross-products to solve, and label the answer.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students wrote down spelling/vocabulary 2 words.
In Class: Students evaluated object writing sample. Students worked in groups to define writing terms. This is homework if you don’t have it finished.
Assignment: Spelling/vocabulary quiz 2 on Friday. Students should be reading AR books for 3rd term points.

The HISTORY Experience
Experience at School: Compared Andrew Jackson to characters from popular culture. In addition, we continued activities and discussion of his jobs, skills, personality and experiences.
Assignment: Students need to read section 14.3 in the textbook and complete the first page of their notes packet.

SCIENCE
In Class: Students took a quick chemical symbol quiz (for themselves) and then checked their Atom’s worksheet. They were given time to fix missed problems on the worksheet before it was handed in. With remaining time, they cleared out their element brochure folder on the computer.
Assignment: Study flashcards for Friday’s element symbol quiz and get out and look at the constellation of the month.
