In class: Goal: Solve system of equations using substitution.
Assignment: Complete page 408 exercises 18-26 even, 48-51.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Goal: To learn to change fractions to decimals and percents.
Assignment: Page 332 (1-27) Be sure to have your math book.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students reviewed paragraph structure for descriptive essay.
In Class: Students took a practice quiz over the descriptive essay, did a voice activity, and worked on improving word choice in object essay.
Assignment: Word choice corrections in object essay due tomorrow. State writing assessment is February 3rd and 4th! Students should be reading AR books for 3rd term points.
The HISTORY Experience
Experience at School: History of the inauguration quiz, chapter 15 preview activity (worksheet in class).
SCIENCE
In Class: We finished the brochure tour and checked each element family to make sure each element was placed in the correct family. We started an activity entitled “Name that Element” with our Science World magazines. Students will have time to finish this activity tomorrow.
Assignment: Finish brochure tour and get any other make up work done and in!!! Get out and look at the constellation of the month.
