Wednesday - Jan. 14th

ALGEBRA
In class: Goal: Do a good job on the chapter 6 test.
Handed in assignments and took the test.
Assignment: Read pages 398-400. On page 401 do exercises 1-2.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Goal: Check for understanding in preparation for Friday’s assessment.
Assignment: Complete the Ratios and Proportion Worksheet II . Show your work on the worksheet. Finish organizing assignments to be handed in on Friday.

ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students practiced spelling/vocab words and literary terms.
In Class: Students did a true/false review game to practice writing terminology. We went over writing terms and received a lit term worksheet.
Assignment: Lit term worksheet due Thursday. Spelling/vocabulary quiz 2 on Friday. Students should be reading AR books for 3rd term points.

The HISTORY Experience
Experience at School: Discussed how Andrew Jackson was able to win the battle of New Orleans and how he was credited for “winning” the War of 1812.
Assignment: Students need to read section 14.4 and 14.5 in the textbook and complete the second page of their notes packet (front and back). Be ready to discuss!

SCIENCE
In Class: Students took a quick chemical symbol quiz with their partners (for themselves) and then did an element families’ reading. With remaining time, they started their brochure tour. They will complete this brochure tour tomorrow.
Assignment: Study flashcards for Friday’s element symbol quiz and get out and look at the constellation of the month.
Journal: No entry
