ALGEBRA
In class: Goal: Evaluate powers that have zero or negative exponents.
Assignment: Page 459-460 (2-60 even) due Wednesday.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Goal: Estimate with percents using the meaning of percents.
Returned and recorded packet and quiz grades, handed in graded packets and quizzes.
Assignment: Estimating with percent worksheet pages 1-4.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students wrote flashcards with the story elements on them for review.
In Class: Students took a quiz over story elements today. We read “Path Through the Cemetery” and filled out a plot map and did a prediction activity. “Tell-Tale Heart” was assigned, along with vocab.
Assignment: Tell-Tale Heart vocab due tomorrow. Students should be reading AR books for 3rd term points. Book points are due by March 5th!
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Started chapter 18. Students read and discussed the 2nd Great Awakening along with the Transcendentalist movement lead by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
SCIENCE
In Class: We started our Geology unit today. Reading was done and samples viewed.
Assignment: Get a book and do the two pages of reading. Go out and look at the new constellation.
Journal: See attached sheet and do entry #38.
