In class: Goal: Evaluate powers that have zero or negative exponents.
Assignment: Finish page 459-460 (2-60 even) due Wednesday.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Goal: Estimate with percents using the 1% method and the fractions method.
Assignment: Estimating with percent worksheet pages 5-8.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students finished working on vocab for “Tell-Tale Heart.”
In Class: Students read “Tell-Tale Heart” and received packet. Quiz will be Thursday.
Assignment: Tell-Tale Heart packet due Thursday. Students should be reading AR books for 3rd term points. Book points are due by March 5th!
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students learned why and how prisons and public schools were reformed in the 1800’s. Students read and discussed sections 18.3 & 18.4 in the textbook.
Assignment: Guided reading worksheet due TOMORROW!
SCIENCE
In Class: We started our rocks and minerals differences lab. The lab was done in partners or groups of threes with each group having their own samples to view.
Assignment: Get Rocks and Minerals differences lab completed. Go out and look at the new constellation.
Journal: See attached sheet and do entry #39.
