In Class: Practiced finding the volume rectangular solids and rectangular pyramids and volume of right circular cylinder and circular cone by comparison.
Goal: Discover the formulas for the volume of pyramids and cones.
Assignment: Worksheet 9 – 10: Give the formula, substitution, and answer labeled in cubic units.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students reviewed for a quiz over 14-17.
In Class: Students took a quiz over chapters 14-17.
Assignment: Work on packets for Gentlehands. Students should be reading AR books for 4th term points. Final day to earn points is May 18, 2009.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students took quiz and learned Morse code (Civil War Telegraph)
SCIENCE
In Class: We did an activity on soil, it’s make up and why it is important. See the journal sheet. We also worked on the soil profile picture.
Assignment: Get out and look at the new constellation.
