ALGEBRA
In class: Reviewed factoring and solving equations using factoring.
Goal: Get your questions answered so you are ready to study for the CH 10 Test.
Assignment: Organized assignments to be handed in on Tuesday, filled out the planner for the week.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Practiced finding the surface area of 3-D shapes, took the assessment and handed in assignments.
Goal: Know the formulas and do well on the assessment.
Assignment: Filled out the planner for the week.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students wrote a journal about chapters 8-9-10.
In Class: Students did a quiz game over chapters 8-9-10. Read chapter 11 for tomorrow.
Assignment: Gentlehands chap 11 quiz on Tuesday. Students should be reading AR books for 4th term points. Final day to earn points is May 18, 2009.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students discussed why the Civil War is considered to be the first modern war. In addition, we watched a couple of video clips and started completing a Civil War Technology worksheet.
SCIENCE
In Class: We did the reading on the “Nature of Soil” out of the book. Read 190-192 and answer the questions on the front of the lab sheet. We went to the lab room and finished soil testing on the back of the same lab sheet.
Assignment: Get your worksheet done and handed in. You will need to come in to do the soil testing.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week.
