In class: Introduced odds and probability. Filled out the planner for the week. Returned and recorded assignments packets and the chapter 2 quiz.
Assignment: Complete page 117 (1-8, 9-27) There will be a chapter 2 test on Wednesday.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Filled out the planner for the week. Reviewed order of operations and worked on worksheet page 3 and the Integer addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division worksheet.
Assignment: Complete Worksheet #3 and review worksheets listed above. There will be an assessment on Wednesday.
English
Bell Work: Students filled out planners for the week.
In Class: We wrote about the symbolism in the short story “The White Umbrella.” Students were assigned short story presentation groups, and then they read the stories.
Assignment: Finish reading short story for groups. Continue reading Independent Reading books for 1st quarter points.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students read and discussed chapter 5.8 in the textbook. Students should be able to explain what happened in the battle of Lexington and Concord. Students watched and analyzed “No More Kings” from School House Rock.
Assignment: Chapter 5 TEST on Wed. Students have worksheets and notes to study.
SCIENCE
In Class: Ten Cool Moon Facts were handed in for a grade. We logged the first night of moon information. Dates were picked for the moon calendar viewing. Keep up on the moon watch.
Assignment: Find a good viewing place to look at the moon. Get your signatures for viewing. MOON WATCH STARTS ON SUNDAY NIGHT THE 20TH OF SEPTEMBER.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week.
