Pre Algebra
In Class: Organized assignments to be handed in on Wednesday. Be sure you know absolute value and opposites including integer addition with absolute value.
Assignment: Make corrections in the packet and have all work ready to hand in.
English
Bell Work: Students filled in planners for week and worked on writing bingo square 2.
In Class: We read the short story “Path” and did a prediction activity. Students worked in groups to fill out a plot map.
Assignment: Read “Man” and do plot map for Wednesday. Second square of writing bingo due Sept. 11. Begin reading Independent Reading books for 1st quarter points.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: We reviewed the causes and results of the French & Indian War. Students took notes and discussed the history and meaning of the song “Yankee Doodle Dandy.”
Assignment: Students were given a “History-Tac-Toe” worksheet, which is due on Oct. 14th. Students also remixed Yankee Doodle Dandee for today’s audience.
SCIENCE
In Class: We worked on our sun facts on our picture. The electromagnetic spectrum was introduced today. We listened to the videos to put them in order.
Assignment: Add two facts for each layer of the sun to your picture. Fill out your electromagnetic spectrum sheet.
Get out and look at the stars!!
