In class: Introduced adding and subtracting like terms.

Pre Algebra
In Class: Handed in assignments took the Integer Quiz.
Assignment: No assignment.
English
Bell Work: Students took a quiz over “Man” and received a tag for maps.
In Class: We read Poe’s poem “Annabel Lee” and analyzed it. We discussed Poe and watched a video clip about him. We began reading “Tell-Tale Heart.”
Assignment: Do poetry analysis for tomorrow. Second square of writing bingo due Sept. 11. Begin reading Independent Reading books for 1st quarter points.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: We read p. 66 – 68 in the textbook and completed a guided reading worksheet. Students should be able to discuss the causes and effects of the Proclamation of 1763 and the Stamp Act.
Assignment: Students were given a “History-Tac-Toe” worksheet, which is due on Oct. 14th. Quiz on Friday (chapter 5).
SCIENCE
In Class: Sun pictures with the two facts were handed in today. We did the light lab for the spectrum. Reading was handed out to begin highlighting.
Assignment: Come in and make up the lab. Get started on your reading.
Get out and look at the stars!!
Journal: We reviewed the Electromagnetic Spectrum with the song.
