Monday - October 26th

ALGEBRA
In class: Reviewed quick graphs using the x and y intercepts.

Assignment: Complete worksheet pages C-40 and C-41, please record the answer as an ordered pair.

Pre Algebra
In Class: Reviewed writing numbers in standard form to scientific notation, and writing numbers in scientific notation to standard form. Discussed correcting scientific notation.
Assignment: Made corrections on page 105-106 exercises 1-46.
Complete worksheets 7-8. Be prepared for the scientific notation assessment. Assignments will be handed in on Wednesday.

English
Bell Work: Fill out planners for the week.
In Class: Students filled out a “paragraph builder” using their brainstorming activity. We signed our prewriting writing process rubric. New bingos were distributed. Students took notes on compound sentences.
Assignment: Paragraph builder due Tuesday. Pg. 31-32 in packet. Bingo 1 is due on Friday. Start reading your AR books for 2nd quarter points!

The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students read the introduction to chapter 8. Students should be able to explain the purpose of the Articles of Confederation and what was its largest problem. In addition, we began to make Ch. 8 vocabulary flash cards and reviewed for the test tomorrow.

Assignment: Chapter 7 Test is TOMORROW!!!

SCIENCE
In Class: We finished the state of matter chart and activity. We also reviewed observations (qualitative and quantitative) and inferences.
Assignment: Come in and finish the state of matter activity.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. See attached sheet.

YOU HAVE TWO DAYS FOR EACH DAY YOU ARE ABSENT TO TURN IN YOUR MAKE-UP WORK.
