In class: Handed in the Cumulative Review assignment. Introduced graphing linear equations, horizontal and vertical lines.
Introduced graphing on the coordinate axis.
Assignment: Page 214-215, 1-3, 12-20, 21-35 odd.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Assignments were returned and recorded on page 19 of the planner. Introduced writing numbers in standard form from scientific notation, and writing numbers less than one in scientific notation using negative exponents.
Assignment: Worksheet pages 3-5 need to be completed for Wednesday.
English
Bell Work: Students did Journal 11 today in class.
In Class: Students took POS, S-V, Simple Sentence test today.
Assignment: Continue reading Independent Reading books for 1st quarter points. They are due on October 21st!!
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students played capture the flag with Mr. Kaslon’s history class. Students should be able to make analogies between the Revolutionary War and the games played of capture the flag.
Assignment: No Assignment
SCIENCE
In Class: Variable packets were checked and handed in. We wrote in the definitions
for the three variable types in our packet. We did a quick variable experiment and took a variable quiz.
Assignment: Packet to hand in and quiz to take.
Journal: We worked on the variable packets for five minutes.
