ALGEBRA
In class: Reviewed table of values, function form and x and y intercepts.
Assignment: Complete Review worksheet exercises 1-16.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Reviewed writing numbers in standard form to scientific notation, and writing numbers in scientific notation to standard form and correcting scientific notation in preparation for the assessment.
Assignment: If you were absent be prepared for the scientific notation assessment, and assignments will be handed in on Wednesday.
English
Bell Work: Students received spelling lists for the week. We practiced the words.
In Class: Students wrote their rough drafts using their “builder” activity. We signed our drafting writing process rubric. Students practiced using compound sentences.
Assignment: Rough Draft due Wednesday. Pg. 33-35 in packet. Bingo 1 is due on Friday. Spelling quiz on Friday. Start reading your AR books for 2nd quarter points!
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students took the chapter 7 test… It was awesome. We read p. 104 of the textbook and discovered another problem with the Articles of Confederation and the steps necessary to become a state.
Assignment: Chapter 8 flash cards dues tomorrow!
SCIENCE
In Class: We looked at a power-point to review the states of matter and their characteristics. Notes were taken on physical/chemical properties and some basic definitions used for measuring. We started a lab using physical and chemical properties.
Assignment: Get started on the lab. Hand in your yellow state of matter sheet.
Journal: See attached sheet for notes.
