The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students discussed why the Civil War is considered to be the first modern war. In addition, we watched a couple of video clips and started completing a Civil War Technology worksheet.
SCIENCE
In Class: We did the reading on the “Nature of Soil” out of the book. Read 190-192 and answer the questions on the front of the lab sheet. We went to the lab room and finished soil testing on the back of the same lab sheet.
Assignment: Get your worksheet done and handed in. You will need to come in to do the soil testing.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week.

Goal: Memorize the surface area formulas for rectangular prisms, cubes and square pyramids. Know the formulas and be able to use them to get SA.
Assignment: Make corrections on the assignments and have them ready to hand in on Monday. Surface Area Assessment Monday.
ENGLISH
Bell Work: Students checked in their literature and writing books.
In Class: Students took a quiz on chapters 5-7. Read chapters 8-10 for Monday and work on packets.
Assignment: Gentlehands 8-10 quiz on Monday. Students should be reading AR books for 4th term points.

In Class: Color coded the Nebraska soils map. Look up the terms on the back of the map using a dictionary.
Assignment: Answer the questions on the attached sheet to the best of your knowledge. We will use the books to complete them.
Journal: Complete the journal entry questions attached to this handout.
