Pre Algebra
In Class: Reviewed writing proportions and using cross-products to solve story problems using a group game. Organized assignments to he handed in on Monday.
Assignment: Study for assessment and make sure corrections are done on the assignments.

Bell Work: Students discussed the Lightning Thief party.
In Class: Students finished writing sample assessment about object. We took a partner quiz over the structure of an essay and worked on verbs.
Assignment: Verb exercises due on Jan. 18. Creative Writing packets due on Feb. 1. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students shared their chosen activity from class yesterday and took a Ch. 11 quiz.
Assignment: Analyzing Primary Sources Worksheet (Early Political Parties) Due Monday
Science:
In class: We talked about the Haiti earthquake and the element Cadmium. Periodic table families were discussed and reading highlighted. We started the brochure tour.
Assignment: Do your reading on the families and pick up a brochure packet.
