ALGEBRA
In class: Reviewed solving a system of equations using linear combinations.
Assignment: Page 414 , (13-35 odd)
Pre Algebra
In Class: Students reviewed changing from percents to fractions and decimals. Introduced solving percent story problems with proportions. One ratio is the percent over 100 and the other one is part over whole.
Assignment: Worksheet started as groups in class. Also, last three problems on worksheet from yesterday.
English
Bell Work: Students wrote in their creative writing journals.
In Class: We shared our season introductions and handed them in. We worked on our simile worksheets in class.
Assignment: Simile worksheet due Monday. Adverbs p. 360 ex. 17, 19, 21 due Monday. Creative Writing packets due on Feb. 1. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students took a quiz on the Ch. 11 & 12. Students used clickers and discussed Haiti (history and current events).

Science:
In class: We went through our element posters today in groups. The journal entry was done using the group information. Posters and Brochure Tour Sheets were handed in.
