Monday-January 11th

1-11-10

History
In Class: Students discussed the 2 precedents set by George Washington as he served as our first President. Then the students answered six questions while examining the role of Alexander Hamilton and the Federalists in the development of our country. If the students finished prior to the end of class they worked on their reading note packet for Chapter 11, section 4. No homework was assigned.

Science
In Class: We reviewed for the quiz which will be on Wednesday over element symbols, parts of the atom, and how to build an electron shell. Work on the sheets attached to help you. Be sure to do your journal assignment as well.
Journal: #24 Sheet attached. Fill out your planner for the week.
Assignment: Keep studying symbols and finish your Atoms 2 worksheet. It was handed in and checked.

Pre-algebra
Filled out the planner for the week. Reviewed solving proportions using cross products. The assignment for Tuesday is on page 288 complete exercises 10, 20-37. Be sure to show your work.

Algebra
Filled out the planner for the week. Reviewed graphing inequalities. Complete worksheet D-30 and D-31 exercises 1-6 and one from 7-11.

English
Bell Work: Students checked adjective homework.
We watched a powerpoint over verbs and wrote our verb assignment for the week. We finished our descriptive packet and brainstormed for our object essay. The web is due tomorrow.
