ALGEBRA
In class: Returned and recorded Cumulative Review on page 19 of the planner. Introduced solving a system of equations using graphing
Assignment: Page 401 (12-26 even, 35) Pick up graph paper.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Students took Assessment 8.2.3a. We wrote down some notes on converting fractions/decimals to percentages and filled out the planner for the week. Students will take the Orleans Hannah Algebra Prognosis Test on Tuesday.
Assignment: Page 332 in book, numbers 1-6, 13-24 due Wednesday.
English
Bell Work: Students filled out planners and wrote in creative writing journals.
In Class: Students worked in groups to evaluate their object essay using the Write on Target cards. We reviewed for our writing terms quiz.
Assignment: Writing terms quiz on Tuesday. Creative Writing packets due on Feb. 1. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students learned about the presidency of John Adams. Students should be able to explain the Alien and Sedition Acts and how they led to Adams becoming the nations first one-term president.

Science:
In class: Brochure Tour was continued. We are making a list of elements and uses in our journals.
Assignment: Get your list started on elements that you find you use in your life. Which ones are you learning about that affect your life? Make a list of at least 10.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week.
