In class: Reviewed solving a system of equations using substitution.
Assignment: Page 408, (18-26 even, 48-51)
Pre Algebra
In Class: Students reviewed changing from percents to fractions and decimals. Went over previous assignment and reviewed what we have learned up until now.
Assignment: Review worksheet on converting between fractions, decimals, and percents. They do not have to do the last three problems, which are story problems. We will be starting story problems tomorrow.
English
Bell Work: Students worked on adverb assignment in our journals.
In Class: We worked in groups to evaluate sample essays. We took prompt notes. We discussed introductions and began to write season intros.
Assignment: Season intros due tomorrow. Adverbs p. 360 ex. 17, 19, 21 due Monday. Creative Writing packets due on Feb. 1. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Discussed: Why people love, hate, love, hate John Adams. Completed the XYZ Affair dialogue worksheet.
Assignment: NONE
Science:
In class: We worked on our “Essential Elements” posters. Posters need to be done by Friday.
Assignment: Posters with six categories, elements, and uses. Be sure to include your pictures.
Journal: No entry. Brochure grades were recorded on grade sheets.
