In class: Reviewed solving a system of equations using graphing, linear combinations, and substitution. Organized assignments to be handed in on Wednesday.
Assignment: Make corrections on the assignments.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Students reviewed converting between fractions, decimals, and percents. Worked on story problems and answered any questions. Assignments were handed in and the assessment was taken.
Assignment: No assignment. You will need your math book on Thursday.
English
Bell Work: Students reviewed procedures for writing assessment.
In Class: We wrote on a sample prompt to practice for the state writing assessment. We will do the final draft tomorrow
Assignment: Word choice packet due Wednesday. Creative Writing packets due on Feb. 1. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students should be able to list the causes of the War of 1812.
Assignment: Complete War of 1812 worksheet that discusses both the reasons to fight and not fight the war.
Science:
In class: Physical and Chemical Changes lab was finished. Work on the conclusion questions for tomorrow. We started getting our journal entries ready to hand in.
Assignment: Lab work should be done. All observations made.
Journal: See attached sheet.
