In class: Reviewed solving inequalities and graphing inequalities using equations in x and y.

Pre Algebra
In Class: Reviewed writing and simplifying ratios, testing for proportions, and solving inequalities.
Assignment: Complete the Ratio and Proportion WS.
English
Bell Work: Students reviewed essay structure and finished verb powerpoint.
In Class: Students started verb assignment. We played a treasure hunt game to write down our writing term definitions. Writing term worksheet is due on Thursday.
Assignment: Descriptive packets due on Wednesday. Verb exercises due on Jan. 18. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students read section 11.5 in the textbook (pages 152-154). They compared and contrasted Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. Students also filled out Chapter 11 notes (page 57 entitled “Thomas Jefferson”).
Assignment: Students need to finish notes if they did not complete in class.
Science:
In class: Electron Shell lab done today. Come in and do the lab. Study for quiz coming up on Wed. (symbols, parts of the atom, electron shells).
Assignment: Keep studying flash cards for elements. Brochures are being printed.
Journal: No entry. We set up for the lab.
