In class: Reviewed solving a system of equations linear combinations, and substitution. Handed in assignments.
Assignment: Read section 7.4 and answer the question 1-5 on the assignment.
Pre Algebra
In Class: Handed back worksheet packet and assessment. Started new information on completing percent equations using proportions. Took notes on solving problems like 10% of 120 = X
Assignment: Worksheet called career information.
English
Bell Work: Students reviewed procedures for writing assessment.
In Class: We wrote on a sample prompt to practice for the state writing assessment. We finished our final drafts and handed them in today.
Assignment: Word choice packet due Wednesday. Creative Writing packets due on Feb. 1. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students should be able to list the causes of the War of 1812. We started watching a video on the War of 1812. Students took notes as they watched the video.
Assignment: Extra Credit Opportunity: Watch Presidential State of the Union and list stated examples of US foreign policy.
Science:
In class: Conclusion questions were done for the lab on physical and chemical changes.
Finish your questions and hand in the lab. We started the reading in the book on compounds.
Assignment: Turn your lab sheet in. Pick up your brochure tour sheets and record your grade.
Journal: See attached sheet.
