Pre Algebra
In Class: Reviewed ratios, rates, and unit rates and notes in class before starting the assignment
Assignment: Page 278-279, Exercises 6-40 even.
English
Bell Work: Students watched a powerpoint on adjectives and wrote out homework in journal.
In Class: Students took notes over descriptive essay structure and lead notes. The descriptive packet was handed out and the first page is due tomorrow.
Assignment: 1st page of descriptive packet due Thursday. Adjective exercises due on Feb. 11. Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students discussed the presidency of George Washington. Students should be able to explain the role/responsibilities of Washington’s cabinet, compare and contrast the Whiskey Rebellion with Shays’ Rebellion and list presidential precedents established by Washington.
Assignment: Parent Survey (due Friday)
Science:
In class: Constellation of the Month was done today. Sheets are attached. We studied the element symbols and reviewed how to find the parts of an atom.
Assignment: Keep studying flash cards for elements. Brochures to finish.
