In Class: Reviewed converting between units of measure, rates, and square units.
Assignment: Complete Worksheet V. Plan for an assessment on Tuesday.
English
Bell Work: None.
In Class: Students took a poetry test today. Students went to the computer lab to work on poetry booklets.
Assignment: Poetry booklets are due on March 2nd. Read AR books for 3rd term points; book points are due on March 3rd.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students discussed how and why Americans colonized Texas. Students should be able to compare and contrast US/Mexico immigration problems in the past and today.
Assignment: N/A
Science:
In class: We looked at the difference between a rock and a mineral. Samples were used and observations filled out in the journals. We worked in the books at pictures and did some prereading.
Assignment: Do the journal for today. Look over the pre-reading questions on minerals.
