Monday-February 1st

ALGEBRA
In class: Practiced solving linear systems of inequalities using graphing.
Assignment: Page 435–436 Exercises 1-2, 9-16.

Pre Algebra
In Class: We are continuing with percent proportions but in a new way. We worked on discounts and taxes today in story problems. A discount is off the original price and a tax is added on to the final price at the register.
Assignment: Worksheet, back and front, on solving percent story problems of discount and tax.

English
Bell Work: Students filled out planners and handed in creative writing packets.
In Class: Students worked in partner groups to review conventions. They wrote sentences over punctuation and capitalization rules.
Assignment: Read AR books for 3rd term points. State writing assessment will be February 4th and 5th.

The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students worked on geographical research and map skills. Students used a map of the US during the War of 1812 and labeled various cities, bodies of water and battles. We will continue this activity tomorrow in the library.
Assignment: N/A

Science:
In class: We discussed the chemical reaction lab done on Friday. Notes were given and conclusion questions finished.
Assignment: Pick up a sheet from the side counter. Conclusion questions from the lab to do.
Journal: Fill out your planner for the week. Check over your lab for enough observations.
