In class: Reviewed graphing quadratic equations in x and y, simplifying radicals and solving quadratic equations.
Assignment: Complete the Review worksheet 9-3.
Pre-Algebra
In Class: Returned and recorded the grades from the polygon quiz and assignments to students who were absent Wednesday. Reviewed perimeter and area of parallelograms including rectangles, squares and rhombuses. We took notes over the perimeter and area of triangles and worked on the assignment in class.
Assignment: (Page 414 exercises 17-25) Be sure to show all work, including area formulas, substitution and answers that are labeled correctly.
English
Bell Work: Students handed in elements of drama and checked grades.
In Class: Students reworked quizzes and handed them in. We read Act 1, scenes 2 and 3 in Anne Frank.
Assignment: Quiz on drama terms Friday. Read AR books for 4th term points; book points are due in May.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students should be able to explain how transcendentalism and the Second Great Awakening led to reform movements. Students also discussed and took notes over section 18.3 (Dorothea Dix and Prison/Mentally Ill reform).
Assignment: Nada
Science:
In class: Rock families were identified for the fifteen samples. Get caught up on your characteristics and family names. We did reading out of the book on the Igneous rock family and named those five samples. Get your notes caught up on the ivory note sheet.
Assignment: Finish up your notes on the Igneous family.
