Pre-Algebra
In Class: Returned and recorded the grades from the polygon quiz and assignments. Introduced area of parallelograms including rectangles, squares and rhombuses.
Assignment: Page 414 exercises 1-13 Be sure to show all work, including area formulas, substitution and answers that are labeled correctly.
English
Bell Work: none
In Class: Watched the DVD “I’m Still Here.”
Assignment: Quiz on drama terms Friday. Read AR books for 4th term points; book points are due in May.
The HISTORY Experience
In Class: Students read the introduction to chapter 17 in the textbook. Students then discussed the Second Great Awakening and how it led to an era of reform in American History.
Assignment: Read p. 242 - 243
Science:
In class: We reviewed minerals with the activity called Murphy’s Minerals. The students paired up or individually worked on identifying minerals based on the mineral tests.
Assignment: Be prepared to discuss the lab from Tuesday. The yellow rock families sheet needs to be filled out and ready to be turned in.
